Ray William Johnson is a comedian and YouTube video maker. He is best known for his rapid rise to popularity with his internet-based show =3 (Equals Three), a twice weekly show where he reviews popular internet videos.

He started the show in April of 2009, and became a top subscribed YouTube personality in just under a year. He is currently the number 2 subscribed YouTuber in history, he is only passed by Nigahiga. In addition, he has a vlog channel called BreakingNYC, a comedic annotation of his day to day life.

However these aren't his only channels he has on youtube he has recently created another channel called "your favourite martian" where he is shown as a cartoon character who sings hilarious and popular songs. So far he has Four videos on the channel "My Balls," "Zombie Love Song," "Bottles of Beer,", and "Club Villain," with a total of nearly 10,000,000 views combined.

Along with reviewing viral videos, Johnson is known for inadvertently starting/popularizing internet memes. He popularized the terms "Squaids" and "Doin' your mom." He has coined the terms "Fake and Gay" in reference to internet trolls, "Doin' Your Mom," "You Americans don't know..."m and "Squaids."
